Fighting HIV/AIDS and poverty in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region since 2011
Youth in Action Against Poverty and HIV/AIDS (YAAPHA) was established in 2011 in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania in response to the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic and its relationship with poverty. Founded by a group of dedicated youth leaders who witnessed the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS in their communities, YAAPHA emerged as a grassroots organization committed to creating sustainable solutions.
Since our founding, we have expanded our reach while maintaining our focus on the interconnected challenges of HIV/AIDS and poverty. We believe that addressing one without the other is insufficient, and thus our holistic approach targets both health and economic empowerment simultaneously.
